In addition to her career as a soloist, Heike Matthiesen is also a sought-after chamber musician. During her long association with the Villa Musica Mainz and members of Frankfurt’s Opern- und Museumsorchester, she has performed in a number of constellations:

As duo partner with violin, flute, oboe, piano, cembalo, viola, clarinet, and voice; in trios with flute and viola, and viola and cello; with string quartets and in larger mixed ensembles; and of course in guitar duo and guitar quartet formations.
