My classical romantic CD – with music by Schubert, Beethoven, Chopin and Mozart fantasies, combined with variations transcriptions by the most important composers of this era!
Variations on well-known themes were quite common among guitar virtuosos. Bobrowicz also created ten operas of “Grandes Variations”. In Mozart Variations op. 6, he acted more like the “Paganini of the guitar”: all the technical finesses of playing the instrument at that time are virtuosically presented on stage here.
In addition, Heike concludes with arrangements of popular movements of the Viennese classical period, such as Tarrega’s version of the famous “Adagio cantabile” from Beethoven’s “Pathétique”, the piano sonata in C minor op. 13. The wholesomeness of this movement, its “singing essence”, corresponds to the various serenades and songs that surround it.
